Chris and I took Cort to Touch a truck downtown. We thought he would love it has he is so obsessed with trucks and cars but while he didn't hate it - he didn't exactly love it either. There were horns and sirens going off constantly and our sweet little boy is not a fun of an abundance of noise. He loves when we honk our horns or hears one horn or one siren on the street but i guess ONE is the important number here. None the less, he still had a good time. Kelley and Sophie met us down there too - Sophie loved it!!

Curious George ( AUGUST)
So, I took Cort to see his first movie. It was so hot here in August we could barely get out of the house. A local movie theater does free Thursday morning movies in the summer so we decided to try it out. Cort loved it. He LOVED curious George. He sat there with his little snack in his movie chair booster seat and laughed, danced, and labeled everything he saw on the screen. It was really cute. All the other kids we were with left early but not us Cort sat through almost the WHOLE thing ( except about the last 15 min.) I am not sure this makes me proud that my son was the one that was willing to watch a big screen TV for an hour and 15 min. but we had a great time anyway!!!!
Back To School Bash at the Water park( August)
Our church has an annual back to school bash at a local water park. We went for the first time this year and Cort loved it. He had such a good time splashing in the wade in pool and he LOVED the Lazy river. He kept going over and trying to drag the huge inter tubes in to the pool. He called them boats!! We'll def. have to go a few times next summer maybe then he'll be more open to going down the big slide with Daddy. He didn't particularly care for it this year - oh well, we gave it a try.

Love all the pics from this summer! Glad your little man loves the thunder...my monkeys are NOT fans:( Makes me sad 'cause there is nothing like a good summer afternoon thunderstorm! The boys had the same reaction to the Touch a Truck here in Atlanta...they loved seeing the trucks as we drove by...but up close was a different story. Yep, I think ALL the sirens was a bit much for them too. Try, try again. Hope you are feeling well. Cool weather is on the way:)
