That is our 2nd son's name. We would love it if you could all begin to pray for him by name.
We are struggling through each day but God has been faithful and is carrying us through to each next one. I have so much to write about - so many thoughts - that I am not sure where to begin or that I feel like it right now. We will be meeting with our "support counselor" from the hospital tomorrow and then with my OB and the specialist again on Friday.
I am struggling with the best way to keep everyone updated. I have so much to share about Cort and Cohen but it seems weird to get started and almost stranger to write about one and not the other. Might do a separate blog for Cohen. Haven't decided yet.
Chris and I want to thank everyone for the unbelievable love, words, and care that has been extended to us. We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and rallying of our friends and family. Your prayers, tears, hugs, silence, and words mean more to us then you could ever know. Thank you for loving us and for already loving Cohen.
I'll write more later.

What a beautiful name! I think it's so wonderful for all of the men in your family to share the name Christopher (I remember from when we were kids that you always said it was your favorite boy's name!).
I will most certainly begin praying for Cohen by name and continue to ask that God bless and heal him, as well as heal your hearts.
Hooray! Cohen is an awesome name! I love it!!! Gotta love those C-names! ;) I'm thinking about you all constantly.
So glad you made the final decision on his name--I love being able to pray for him by name...not that God doesn't know exactly who I am praying for anyways, but there is just something about a name; and it's clear that God loves us to call Him Abba, Father, Redeemer, etc...He must delight in your Cohen already having a name and in us using it.

Hey guys -
Thanks for giving us an opportunity to stay connected with you and your family. So many people love you and want to be part of supporting you, but may not be able to communicate to you. I'm so glad we will all be able to pray in unity for Cohen.

Sent your parents a card this week Emily because I know when a family hurts, it reaches across miles and miles..Wanted you to know that my heart breaks for you..I am reminded how one sentence, one test result, one phone call, one doctor's appointment can forever change your Life-in an instant!
And like everyone else, I love the name Cohen as I have always liked "different".
Rest, retreat as needed. We understand.

Hi Emily,
I am a friend of Shannon's in Maryland. I know you don't know me, but I wanted you to know that my family is praying for you. Thanks for blogging and being so open about your story. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, but just from reading the comments of people that know you, you guys seem like such strong people with an awesome faith in God. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

A friend of mine sent me the link to your blog. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I recently experienced a stillbirth. Our daughter was diagnosed with a serious condition at around 20 weeks, but we had no idea we would lose her. She died at 37 weeks, 1 month ago. You can check out my blog at www.myobaby.blogspot.com. Please feel free to email me at mbell0817 at yahoo.com if you'd like to talk to someone. God Bless you and your sweet family. We will be praying hard for your boy. Michele
Emily and Chris,
My heart has been burdened for you since Molly told me. Know that I am praying frequently for all of you. I admire your strength and praise God for it, knowing it brings Him glory. I will continue to check and see how God is providing the daily grace you need. love, kristin williams seaver
