update on Cort

We're sticking with the allergy. We saw the doctor this morning and his airway sounds clear. He only ran the fever on sat. for about 1. 5 hours and it never came back. He shows no signs of illness what so ever. The doctor thinks it was more like an elevated temperature due to conditions versus an actual fever. He'll be on the steroid until Wed. so we'll see how he responds to the tree after that. Even if he's okay with it then, the doctor still thinks it's most likely what caused the issue in the beginning as he was on the tree farm for a while and then cutting the tree and bringing it into the house... all of this just possibly caused some over exposure. I'll keep you posted.

I've still got lots of catch up posting to do... thanksgiving, Cohen's 9 month post( that's right - 9 MONTHS!!!!!), decorating the tree ( yes, we know we might just be undecorating it to take it out), and possibly a few more i've been working on in my head.. hopefully I'll get to some tomorrow.

Thanks for your prayers for Cort and our family.

This year has been horrible for allergies. I hope it was just getting the tree and all that went on and not the tree itself. Praying for him and wow, 9 months for Cohen!!
What a blessing to be reading about this little miracle after all this time. I am so glad that the Lord keeps blessing you guys. You bless me.

PS. I finally got my blog started.
It's not much yet, but I'm working on it.

Sorry to hear about Cort's allergies. I hope that is all resolved.

Yay, Cohen, for graduating off of the oxygen. That's wonderful!

The boys are still as cute as ever. We can't get enough of their pictures!

We hope this Christmas season is bringing you lots of joy!

Hugs, Sara

Hi Emily, I am sorry about Cort. Croup can be so scary. They sound so awful. I will pray that he gets well soon or at least they can tell you why and give you something to help. I will also pray that Cohen doesn't get it. We have had to start using a nebulizzer on Maggie too. They think hers may be asthma. We go back Tues. and I'll find out more.

I'm so glad I found your site and can keep up with your sweet family. Your all in our prayers.

Hi Emily,

Just checking in this morning to see how things are going with Cort. I hope he is feeling better and you didn't have to take the tree down. I am praying for you guys. Also, I forgot to mention that when my son had asthma attacks when he was Corts age, the doctor showed me how to look at his fingernails and if they were not pink but blueish, he wasn't getting enough oxygen. That was so helpful for me when he would get sick. Have a good day.
