And my little boy has been so fun recently. I feel like I should have a million things to record about the things he says because he makes me laugh everyday!! A few I can think of off the top of my head..
Fort he first time without any prompting, he announced what he wants to be when he grows up....a construction worker. And he will build houses and bridges. And he will have 2 types of diggers and he will drive them everywhere.
A few weeks later, he told me he didn't want to be a construction worker anymore because he wanted to be a Daddy. ( so sweet) I told him he could be both. So then he said he wanted to be just like his daddy and be a daddy and a pastor. I asked him, what would he do as a pastor? In a tone with an underlying "duh," he says, "play the drums!" A few seconds later..."oh, and I guess I'll help some people" ( for those of you who don't know, Chris plays the drums for our worship team - cort is convinced that's what he does all day at work)
He's been exploring using the word "too" apparently. it goes like this...
On the way to the beach a few weeks ago...
Us: "Cort, are you excited to go to the beach?
Cort: " yes, I am too excited"
On the day we were leaving the beach..
Me: "Cort, we have to pack up to go home today"
Cort: "no, I want to stay here forever"
Me: " have you had a lot of fun?"
Cort: " yes, too much fun for me"
And the other day :
Chris: "let's just have breakfast for dinner"
Me: "no, the boys had that last night when they were staying at Grammie's"
Cort: " Yep, we ate pancakes and eggs and it was too yummy for a little boy like me"
There are tons more that I probably need to record. I'll have to think about it and add some more later!
He really has just been so much fun recently. I love watching him grow up!!
