And who needs shorts on your bottom when you have a pair of diaper jeans? I swore I'd never buy these but then couldn't pass up a great deal of practically free diapers at CVS so...the verdict...they were actually quite cute, if I'm honest.
On a random walk one day, we discovered a caterpillar scooting across the road. Cort asked to keep him and at first I said no. Then, I gave in. We brought him home and set up a home for "marty" in and old fish aquarium. We looked up what type of caterpillar it was and found out that it needed to eat willow tree leaves. So off we went, to find willow trees. Luckily we had some friends around the corner with a willow tree. So we stocked up.
The next day Marty was already hanging upside down!!! A few weeks later, he emerged!! Cort was SOOO excited. We kept him for a day in a butterfly cage and then set him free. Cort still swears he sees him flying by sometimes when we are out and about.
Towards the end of the summer we traveled to Raleigh to celebrate our nephew, Nicolas', fifth birthday. As always, it's good to get everyone together to hang out and it was fun to celebrate Nicolas. All 4 grandkids had a great time hanging out.
