Cort loves the snow and as soon as it starts to get cold he starts to ask when it will snow. He always says we have to wait to Cohen's birthday because it has snowed on his birthday( or the day before) the past two years...never mind that his birthday is in March.
So you can imagine his delight and surprise when he got the snow on HIS birthday.
Of course we started with his birthday door....

I love the last series of pictures. Cort wanted to go back out in the snow after we all were coming and he stayed out there for the better part of an hour playing with his Thomas train...making train tracks in the snow, digging train tunnels in mounds of snow, and crossing snowy bridges on the swingset. Maybe it sounds dramatic but I could have frozen time and just watched him out there forever. Something about the combination of the "little boyness" of the train play, coupled with the independence of him playing out their in the quiet snow, all by himself, so contently....I guess I'm just saying that I just LOVE this little...
Birthday Boy....
