This past weekend Chris and I went to a leadership retreat with our church and we left Cort with Chris' parents in Columbia. This was by far the longest we had left him and he did great!!
Grandmommie and Granddad had a great time with him and Cort settled right back in at home with no problem. I missed him but we had a great time too. I don't have digital pictures to post of his time in Columbia and didn't do a great job of taking pictures at our retreat either but here are some fun ones of us
snowtubing. It was like 60 degrees but they still had
man-made ice. It is perhaps one of the most redneck things I have ever done. It was just this big icy slide on a big hill in the middle of the mountains. You came off the ice onto muddy ground covered in straw. It smelled terrible but it was a lot of fun. The pictures don't do the size and steepness of the slope or the speed at which you come down justice......

The retreat was a great time to relax and fellowship with other leaders in the church. It was also great just to hear some great teaching on God's purpose for us as leaders and to be reminded of our
responsibilities as leaders. It helps to get away and sort of refocus.... just to get a better grasp on how we might aid in the spiritual growth of the people around us.
