The boys really enjoyed dying Easter eggs this year. For some reason we always have a hard time fitting it in to the schedule, but I guess it isn't really that important of a thing, is it?

We also had two Easter egg hunts this year with friends.
One was an impromptu, mom and kiddo, get together one weekday at our friend Julie's house. It was a bit crazy but we all had such fun. Some moms read a book about the real reason for Easter, while the rest of hid the eggs. Afterwards, we enjoyed a YUMMY brunch.

Then, that weekend, we enjoyed an annual easter egg hunt at the Wolfram's. Same idea as above, but with the Daddy's involved too.
Sophie loved doting on Cohen...

Walker, ready to start hunting...

looking for eggs...

Sweet Reese...

" i think i see another one over there"

Showing off their loot...
Going in for Gibson's eggs...

We spent Easter with our good friends, The Haff's. This seems to be coming an annual tradition and I love it. The kids had fun having yet another Easter egg hunt and making resurrection biscuits, and we all enjoyed some yummy food.

I wonder if I'll ever separate Easter and Cohen's homecoming in my head. Not that it falls on the same day every year, but bringing Cohen home on Easter was so unbelievable. But let me be clear, bringing Cohen home on Easter is not what I celebrate each Easter. It's just that it was such a beautiful tangible picture to me of God's love for us. And on a day in 2008 where we celebrate God's giving of His son to us, His death and then His resurrection, God also gave us our son. I have always found Easter to be one of the most humbling days and that moment of bringing Cohen home was also such a humbling experience. We are but sinners, saved only by grace, and deserving nothing good in this world. And yet, He loves us, He sacrificed for us, blesses on us on a daily basis, and forgives us over and over again.

I for one have no problem looking at your Easter pictures in May! :) They are adorable!!!
I loved the Easter pictures! I really love the family picture at the end! Cohen is so cute holding out that egg!
Love all the Easter pics! Looks like everyone had a wonderful holiday! I'm the same way, like to be chronological! Easter is very special for me too, in 2008 it was the last time we brought my dad home from the hospital. We were all so glad to have him home with us for Easter dinner. So I understand how a certain holiday can be a little extra special! :)
