Adapting

Cohen is constantly wanting to be on one of Cort's bikes or scooters. But he either can't reach the ground, pedals, or handles. I love having an inventive husband. In a quick afternoon while spending some time with the boys he whips up this....

...he took one of Cort's old push bikes, took off the plastic seat that made it too wide and too high for Cohen, flipped the bottom bar over because it lowered it a bit too, and made a wooden seat for Cohen to sit on!! I know it's a total bummer that I'm not giving you pics of Cohen on it, but I'll get them on here with hopefully some video too. He LOVES it. He can get off of it all on his on, but hasn't figured out how to get on it yet. It's fun for everyone to get to jump on a set of wheels now!!

Another fun summer activity has been the pool. Up until this year, Cort has been really unsure of the water. He had spent most of our time in the water with his arms and legs wrapped around us as tightly as possible. So, therefore, we did not spend a lot of time in the water. This year, he has gotten much braver and has been swimming around with his swimmies. We even got him to jump in the pool once without holding our hands.....of course, we bribed with not one, but two pieces of cake!!

Cohen loves the pool too, but we can't figure out if he likes the water best or wearing Cort's goggles...

We've enjoyed getting to enjoy our neighborhood pool finally!!
