And what a cute little blessing this birthday boy is...

We were at my Mom's house for Cohen's birthday. We had traveled to the beach with some college friends the week before( such a fun time!!) and were in Columbia on the way back to celebrate Chris' grandmother's 90th birthday!!! Cohen's birthday was also on that Saturday so we had a birthday party for him at my Mom's house that morning before all the other festivities started!!
It took a good bit of preplanning to throw a party out of town, after being out of town the week before. But I love a good birthday party so we pulled it off!! Cohen loves Mickey Mouse so it was sort of a no brainer to pick his theme.
We were all sleeping in the same room so we had an early morning "Happy Birthday" wake up call!!

He got his door decorated even though we weren't at home:

The cake.... I have to say I would not be sad to never have to use black icing again....yuck, such a mess!!
Some of the food and decorations we made...

Cort's decorating contributions....
Each child got a pair of Mickey Mouse ears when they came in. A few actually wore them :)!
It was great weather so we moved much of the party outside. The kids ran around in the front yard, we played a mickey bean bag toss( which sort of reminded me of that old show Bozo the Clown, with the Bucket Bonanza game. Does that make me old?), and climbed trees!!

The kids also sat for longer than i expected they would at a little coloring and sticker table we set up.

Blowing out the candles..

Opening presents...

And who can resist a good kiss from a great grandmother (MeMe)..
Oh, I can't believe how much both of my boys are growing up... 5 and 3!!!!

Beautiful child. I never realized until recently how much he looks like Cort. The similarities in that first pic are crazy!
Looks like a fabulous celebration of an amazing little boy. I can't believe it has been three years since he was born!
Y'all are precious.

Cannot believe it has been 3 years! Party looked like fun! Wish I knew you were doing Mickey Mouse. I still have some decorations left over from Nathan's 2nd bday party. And yes, the black icing was a mess. I made the cake with Mickey's whole body, but still had a lot of black icing! Cute bean bag toss game. Bozo...I used to love him...forgot all about him till now! :-)
