Wow!! Over this past week I have gotten such a glimpse into how much he is going to change between now and when he turns 1! So much has changed with Cort this past week. Some of it is really obvious and some just little differences in the way he does things. He is so much more purposeful in all of his movements and interactions. Things that I have been suspecting he has been doing for a while( ie. giving kisses) have become no question asked..he is def. doing them. He just seems so much more grown up! One of my favorite things to do right now is watch him play and trying to "figure out" his toys.
He has been scooting around here and there and flirting with crawling for over a month now. Well, last week, he really started scooting. Then on tuesday - he crawled..to get my coke can. It was brief and he has as successfully done it since then but he crawled. We're reserving the phrase "he's crawling" for when he's more consistent but "he crawled." Then not, thirty minutes later he got himself to a sitting position!!! Yea.
Also I have found him after a nap in the middle of the bed sitting up on his legs -not real sure how he gets there!!
Also over the past week he has started dropping his third nap - we still take it some days but for the most part we are down to two naps it seems. He dropped a feeding and now has breakfast, lunch, and dinner for solids and four bottles through out the day. This has been a little stressful as he hasn't been eating as well recently and is sort of doing like he use to with refusing milk. I am trying to just let go of it and pray that he is getting all the nutrition he needs. He has increased his finger food intake as well.
He started imitating more. His current favorite is to bounce and have Chris and i mimic it back. He gets a kick out of this and it's super cute!!!!!
So here's a quick run down of the so much that has been happening:
1. crawled

3. gets to kneeling on own
4. Mimicking
5. dropped a nap
6. dropped a liquid feed
7. added a solid feed
8. plays more purposefully

I cannot get over how absolutely cute Cort is...I can totally see his precious little personality in his pictures. You and Chris are doing such a wonderful job with him!! Hope to see you again soon...will be in Tigertown this next weekend. Will you guys?
YEAH CORT!!! You have really grown in the past week and a half- I can't believe all you are doing now! I love the apple picking pics- how FUN- nothing like some yummy apple pie!! We are officially in SC and working on getting settled so hopefully we will catch up with you sometime soon in Greenville area!!=) Don't worry about not taking in as much- Tal seems to have some days where he can not get full enough and others where he just "picks" and throws stuff on the floor!
