We've Got a Beach Lover

We took Cort to the beach for the forth time since he's been born -we want to ensure that he develops a love for it from an early age!! This was the first time we went just us three. We weren't really sure if it would be very relaxing or if we would really get a lot of beach time but it was perfect. We stayed one block off the beach so we were near by and Cort did wonderfully. We were a little nervous when we got there because the one bedroom place we rented ended up really being lofted so there was no sound barriers for Cort when he was sleeping. It didn't phase him one bit he slept like a champ!!! The weather was perfect - not too hot so we were able to stay out on the beach as long as we kept Cort in the shade enough. We had our "sun stopper" tent and an umbrella so that was pretty easy!! It was very relaxing. We went to the beach everyday, walked around some local shops, and ate dinner on the pier. Everything was in walking distance. We only got in the car one time to go down to the end of the island to see the light house. I even read two books!!!!!!
Cort LOVED the beach. He played in the sand(and ate his fair share!) and he really enjoyed the water. He sat on the edge and tried to grab the waves. One day it was really calm and we even took him out in the ocean and he enjoyed "jumping" the swells.Cort had so much fun with his daddy. I think Chris may have enjoyed all the sand play as much as Cort did!! (thought he left all the eating of it to Cort)
Kelly, Alejandro, and Nicolas(Chris' sister and her family) joined us for the day on Monday before we left. Cort and Nicolas enjoyed playing together in a little tidal pool. Cort seemed excited to have Nicolas there and kept "talking" to him to get his attention.

I love the sand!!




It's really fun to get it all over you(and eat a little too!)
