There are two more adorable( in my totally unbiased opinion) videos at the end.. can you tell we got a new video camera? ")
We've typically gone to Boo at the Zoo every year. The member night got canceled due to rain, on our one other free night we were all still a bit under the weather and we didn't have another free night to go so we improvised. We set up our own Boo In the Zoo with animals all around with treats for the boys. We made good use of our millions of animals and even had a reptile house!! It wasn't nearly as exciting but the boys both loved it. In fact, we played "boo at the zoo" a million times over and over and over( you get the point) again!!
Waiting in the bonus room for the Zoo to open...

One of Cort's favorite Halloween hobbies...lining up and counting his candy!!
There's a pavilion here complete with a little train. We sort of forget about it and don't go very often but we did, rather last minute, remember about their Enchanted forest night and squeeze in yet another fall activity!! It was really cute...they had games, costume contests, a petting zoo, bounce houses, a fairy tale character trail to get treats, and a "spooky"( i use that term very loosely) train ride. It was fun!!
riding the train...

This one is from our church's trunk or treat, where this is basically the only picture i got to take because I was busy with two demanding little ones and blowing up balloons!! It's one of my favorite events of the year though..so fun for everyone to come out together!! And this is one cute little puppy, if I do say so myself..

Every year since we've had kids, the whole pumpkin carving festivity has been a bit overrated. We always think it's going to be a ton of fun but somehow it has always been riddled with little time, fussy kids, and just one big mess!! Well, this year, pumpkin carving tried to inch it's way into our life as one of our favorite fall activities!! Cort was super excited and let his imagination run wild with it all and was quite the little pumpkin goo( our families official word for it) scooping worker bee, and Cohen, while at first seemed uninterested put on quite a display for his love of messy things and being silly!! Plus we had to pay a little Disney tribute!!!

The still shot of Cohen enjoying the pumpkin goo( see video at the bottom for live action - notice we threw more towels down in the video!!))

Cort making his own pumpkin seed concoction( see video below)

Cohen enjoying the pumpkin goo...this is one small glimpse of his love for pumpkin goo

I don't think I have seen a more cute and creative Boo in the Zoo. Props to you guys for doing that with your kiddos. I may have to steal the idea!
Way to go Cohen! We love your new moves!
I LOVE that! I'm sure your prehistoric exhibit could rival any museum! I almost cried watching Cohen scooting, laughed like crazy at the pumpkin goo, and love Cort even more than ever watching him create pumpkin goo apple pie with m&m's! I cannot wait to see them on Monday!

Hey Em! I can't get the videos to work for some reason but the pics are ADORABLE!! Chase is a fireman for Halloween too! Can you send Cohen down to be his dalmation for Saturday night?! :)
First of all, the scooting is the most amazing thing I have ever seen...he's so happy! Second, the pictures of both boys dressed up are priceless...what fun you're making this time of year for them!
"Pumpkin Goo Apple Pie" lol...adorable! The videos are so cute! Don't you just love catching a "first" on camera! Nothing better! :)
OK, if my kids were not asleep, I would be cheering in my chair. I'm so excited for Cohen!!! YAY!!!
And the pumpkin slinging was so funny. And of coarse, Cort in the kitchen with his 'creation'...so cute.
What a sweet family. And again...YAY for the scooting!!
Loved the videos of the boys! The picture of Cohen with the pumpkin goo on his face was hilarious. Thanks again for sharing little bits of your life :)
I loved getting to see you tonight! Thanks for some great girl time! I just had to come home and check out the video, I cheered for Cohen! The pumpkin goo is too cute for words! You certainly have the best ideas for fun things to do with the kids! I would steal your Boo at the Zoo idea, but I think we should just buy tickets to come to yours!!!
