More Greats and Grands

A few weeks ago my mom and I went to Myrtle Beach to visit my Grandparents, Me- Maw and Paw-Paw. We had a great time and Cort loved hanging out with them. He was such a good trooper. On the way there Cort was pretty much in the car or in a resturant highchair from about 9am until 6:30pm!!!! And he hardly complained!!!!

Father's Day... finally

I know I am super late on most of these posts... I'm trying to get caught up before we go on vacation.
We had a great father's day. After church, we enjoyed lunch at a favorite of Chris'.... Five Guys, Burgers and Fries. We had a relaxing day playing at home. Cort enjoyed the presents he gave Daddy (chocolate candy and gum) but didn't care for the gift I gave him(two Donald Miller books) but chris liked them both gifts!!!

Cort got his forth haircut. This his before picture.

It's always hard for me to cut it bc i actually like it long but it really starts to bother him when it gets in his eyes and he's always rubbing his ears when the hair tickles it. You can see the after results in the picture below with our good friend Brenna. She came up to visit and stayed for two nights. It was great catching up with her. She and her husband, Geoff, are friends of our from college and we lived in the same apartments the first year we both got married. They moved away we really miss their fellowship. Such great friends. Cort enjoyed Brenna too.
Here, they are working on snap beads and Cort actually did them all by himself for the first time with Brenna.

Back track to Charleston

We went to Charleston two weekends ago to visit with Kelly(Chris' sister), Alejandro, and Nicolas. We had a great time. We went to the beach on Saturday and Chris' parents came down for the day as well and met us at the beach. The boys enjoyed some beach time with the grandparents. Cort LOVED the ocean. He wasn't afraid of it at all. He ran towards it every second he got. He also enjoyed wandering around the beach. He kept us pretty busy and we didn't take a lot of pictures.


Some friends, Paul and Jessica, of ours from college met us down at the beach too. Cort enjoyed eating some cantaloupe with Jessica.





Cort loved playing with their Cats. They are much more friendly than Mowgli.

Pool Days

It is so exciting to me that Cort actually likes the pool this year. We haven't been able to go recently so I hope his love for it hasn't worn off. Here's a few pics from the last time we went. I learned I need to bring some pool toys because he kept playing with the other kid's toys.

Grands and Greats

Two weeks ago, Cort got visits from a Grand and some Greats... Grandparent and Great Grandparents.
My Mom came up for the weekend and kept Cort for us for multiple engagements. Chris and I went to a going away party for a friend, ran a bunch of errands, pressure washed the house and went out on a date - busy weekend. Cort enjoyed playing with Grammie much more than he would have enjoyed tagging along with us.


The following tuesday my grandparents, Me-Me and Granddaddy, came to visit. Cort had a ball with them. He really enjoyed playing with them and they enjoyed him as well. He would constantly bring them his toys to play with. One of his favorite parts of the visit was snapping beans with my Me-Me. It was so cute. He started out snapping them with her and then they made an assembly line of sorts. Me-Me would snap the beans and hand them to my granddaddy. Granddaddy would then hand them to cort and Cort would put them in the bowl. He didn't like it once they were all snapped.

Water boy

Cort did not enjoy the water last year. This year seems to be a different story. He will occasionally act a bit stand offish with the water but in general seems to really enjoy it this year. He is loving the baby pool in our backyard and even likes the sprinkler a good bit. Tons of pics below of said enjoyment......

Helper

Cort loves helping us do whatever it is we're doing. Here, he's helping Daddy put together his little scoot bike. This is second one - we ran over the first!!!!!
