Cort lost his first tooth at school! He was so excited, though I was a little sad to have missed it(and a little sad that he's old enough to be losing teeth). He said he was just walking in from the play ground and it fell out!
Grammies gave cort this little alligator tooth box when he was a baby and he was so excited to finally get to use it!
He very carefully placed it all under his pillow, along with a note asking the tooth fairy if he could please keep his first(and only his first!) tooth. He said he really really really hoped the tooth fairy would give him a whole quarter!!!!
He ran in our room so excited the next morning. Opened his special envelope and found not one, but, two whole quarters! I bet the tooth fairy was very happy to so easily(and cheaply) satisfy!!! I mean what kind of tooth fairy would disappoint a little boy with paper money?
As always, we had a great time celebrating Easter. With little ones, we have our fill of Easter baskets, egg hunts, and yummy food. But we also spend a lot of time remembering our God and the incredible gift and sacrifice he gave us many years ago. And, as always, now, since Cohens birth, we also remember the sweet gift God gave us when we got to bring Cohen home on Easter 3 years ago.
Over spring break, my sister and my niece came to visit. They both stayed for a few days and then Chandler stayed a few more days while Michelle went back home to work. It was so fun having them both here and getting to have chandler stay even longer. The kids had a great time and we were sad to see them all go.
Hanging out downtown....
Cohen drawing a crowd...
Chandler loved playing with Cohen...
The hafts came for a plate date...
Chandler celebrated her half birthday with us....she was so excited to have cupcakes.
And views like this from my Dining room window(I'm one proud mommy)....
FYI...Cohen started walking in february(first steps in October) and began to use it as his primary mode of transportation in may. I've been so behind on the blog that if you don't get my facebook posts a lot of this is sort of old news but it in my opinion, no less fun!!
Welcome to our blog, take a look around. What you see is just a typical family trying our best to enjoy all the blessings God has given us in the midst of everyday life! Two of our favorite little blessings will fill most of the posts of this blog, our 4 year old first born, Cort, and our almost 2 year old, 2nd born, Cohen. Cohen was diagnosed with a fatal form of dwarfism at our 20 week ultrasound and we were told he had no chance of living more than a few minutes to hours at birth. He is a true miracle, a daily reminder of God's power and glory. Pull up a chair, enjoy the ride...we are!!
