My good friend, Kelly, was over a while back and she and Cort seems to have the same taste in a few things.
First, they both chowed down on some salt and vinegar potato chips. Cort doesn't get these very often but when we do let him have some, he can't get enough. He is also not usually allowed to eat on the couch but we broke the rules for some bonding time with Kelly.
Second, they apparently both have good taste in cute green purses.
Third, they both know Cort is the cutest little boy ever.
Sorry - I know we have been sort of MIA. We have been sicky again. It started early 2 weeks when I got a sinus and ear infection. Then Saturday of Memorial day weekend, Cort came down with the hand, foot, and mouth virus. He is doing much better now. The first few days were not that bad - he had a fever but didn't really act sick. Sunday night and Monday were horrible because the blisters in his mouth were so painful. He only slept for about 6 hours on Sunday night - and only half of those were without us holding him. He also didn't sleep hardly at all on Monday but started sleeping well after that and has gotten is appetite back. Here' s a few pics from our sick days at home:

These pics are from a few weeks ago - the afternoon after we went to the strawberry patch. Logan and I took some pics of Walker and Cort in a wildflower field near my house. Cort loved it and wouldn't be still for a second.
We went strawberry picking last Monday after an impromptu invite from our good friends Logan and Walker. I needed to run errands and then clean the house but am oh so glad that we chose to be a little more spontaneous and enjoy life's little pleasures. ( that's been a recent struggle of mine - trying to balance fulfilling that Biblical role as a wife and mother without getting too wrapped up in all of the "to do's" -being willing to let things go - but not too much - so that Cort experiences the joy and wonder of the life God has given us- but that's a whole other blog post, I guess) Cort had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and he caught on to the picking right away. He loved carrying the baskets up and down the rows. He was so cute and the strawberries were yummy!!! Enjoy the pics.
Welcome to our blog, take a look around. What you see is just a typical family trying our best to enjoy all the blessings God has given us in the midst of everyday life! Two of our favorite little blessings will fill most of the posts of this blog, our 4 year old first born, Cort, and our almost 2 year old, 2nd born, Cohen. Cohen was diagnosed with a fatal form of dwarfism at our 20 week ultrasound and we were told he had no chance of living more than a few minutes to hours at birth. He is a true miracle, a daily reminder of God's power and glory. Pull up a chair, enjoy the ride...we are!!
