Annual Strawberry Picking

I'm still posting May events. I have no idea if I'll ever catch up!!

We headed to Sandy Flats to do some strawberry picking. It's always lots of fun. This year, we went at a great time and easily picked 2 gallons in a very short period of time. I went with my friends Logan and Molly and the kids had a great time. Logan and Molly were both super brave...Logan, picking with her 4 month old and Molly picking with her, well, at the time, VERY soon to be born baby.( sweet Thomas was born just a few weeks later!!)

"That looks like a good one!"

Got a big one!!

YUM!!!

Logan, Hudson, and Walker

Molly and Nancy....

Yummy Again!!

Molly and I also worked together on a new venture and canned 20+ jars of strawberry jam. It was fun and yummy!! Since Peach season is now upon us we hope to do some peach canning soon too!!

I also lost Cohen's cute little shoes there but thankfully someone turned them in and I was able to get them just a few days later!!

Higher, Higher

Chris grew up with a huge tree swing in their back yard...it was even still there when we first started dating!! But it wore out a while ago and it's been missed!!

G-pop decided it was time to bring it back for the grandkids so he found a new sturdy limb and did his magic. Cort and Cohen are quite delighted by it. Cort can't get high enough!! Cohen gets a little worried if he goes too high but still loves it!!

I didn't catch the best pictures but I had to at least catch the moment!!!

Me- Me

My sweet Grandmother, Me-Me, turned 80 this May!! We had such a great time celebrating her and she is certainly a woman worth celebrating. Her kindness and generosity is unbelievable and she has truly been such a great role model as a mother, wife, grandmother, and woman of God to me!!

She just adored the shutterfly book we all( thanks to Rebekah for putting it together!!) gave her....

Jack and Cohen playing...

The grandkids all wanted to help with her presents....

Dat-Dat reading with Rylee

And of course, the cake....

We love you Me-Me!! Her's to next year!!

Are You Ready for some football??

All of these little ones were at Walker's 4th Birthday party. The kids all had a great time and were just adorable in their party favor football jersey's!! Such a fun little boy birthday!! Watching the dad's try to teach them drills and then to actually play a little ball was so cute!!

And of course, they all enjoyed the yummy cake!!

St Jude's Trike-a-thon

Cort's preschool participated in a trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude's Children Hospital. I just love that they raised money for such a great organization and I thought it was a great way to start teaching the kids, at a young age, the importance of being involved in things that benefit those in need.

The trike-a-thon was so cute and all of Cort's class pariticipated! They rode their bikes for 15 minutes around the drop off circle and no one ever stopped or bumped in to each other!! The kids from the other classes sat in chairs and cheered them on. So cute.

The look on Cohen's face makes me laugh....is this a glimpse of the looks we'll get when he's a teenager?

**another new post below!!

Good old Friends, Good old Times...and a hole in one!!

Back in April, some great friends of ours, Brenna and Geoff were back in town, with their sweet little ones, Riley and Quinn. We were able to hop over to Geoff's parents house to celebrate Geoff getting old, I mean, Geoff turning 30!! It's always so great to get to spend time with them. We've missed them terribly since they moved to Columbia about 6 or 7 years ago(is that right, Brenna?!?!). We spent our first year of marriage together in the same apartment complex and it was so fun. Getting back together with them is always such a great time..you know those friends, where everything is just fun, and sweet, and so comfortable...that's them. I love it and I love them. And I LOVE their two kiddos( and yes, they are twins)!!

And Cohen loved Geoff's dad's putting green in his back yard.....have you ever made a hole in one? Cohen will show you how's it done...

Step 1 : Keep your eye on the target

Step 2: aim
Step 3: Sink it!!!
