Birthday Party

Ok- finally here is his birthday party post. I have been having trouble with blogger letting me upload pictures but finally was able to.
Cort's party went really well.It was a jungle animal theme. My mom came up on Friday to help me get ready. I was really nervous that the shirt we ordered(in above picture) and the plate we had made for him wouldn't come in time but they both came on Friday. Yea!!We made the cake Friday night - for my first one I think it turned out well.

Cort woke up Saturday in a great mood and immediately noticed his Birthday sign.


Lost of Friends and Family came and it was so special to have everyone there to celebrate Cort.

Just like on his actual birthday, Cort was more interested in opening presents than he had been in the past. Everyone was very generous and he got lots of great stuff.





I was worried that Cort wouldn't get to into his cake since he didn't really like his cupcake on his birthday. He got VERY excited about everyone singing Happy Birthday to him.

He also really liked the candle again. When he saw the candle he said, "HOT!" Smart boy! ;)

It took him a while to warm up to the cake but then he got started.....

The aftermath

Overall, the party was a great hit... lots of friends and family, plenty of soup and cake, and one big mess. Cort had a good time and I think everyone else did too. Two good "keepsakes" from the party were the slide show we had running of pictures of Cort through the year and the picture we had everyone sign. This is one of my favorite things - i think we'll cherish it forever.
