Just a quick update. We got to go to our Easter service at Grace tonight and it was great to see everyone and worship. We are so excited about getting back into things there. Now we are hanging out at the NICU, for possibly the last night! It's been a good day and we are excited about tomorrow. Here's a few pictures. We dyed Easter eggs with Cort last night, so I included some of those pics too. Some time soon I need to explain to him that bunnies were not part of the Easter story, and also that bunnies do not lay colored eggs...in fact, they don't lay eggs at all.

Thanks for all the updates and sharing your hearts so beautifully and freely. The Lord is using you all indeed....And I will say...I received the most beautiful birth announcement the other day! Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your lives! Allison Reed
We are thrilled for you guys and rejoice with you on this glorious weekend. Praising our risen Lord has given several of us a different view on Easter this year. God is good. We continue to pray for the 4 of you and those caring for Cohen while he is in the NICU. We too have had some of the same emotions and feelings as we were faced with leaving the boys when they were born. Thanks for sharing your heart, your dreams and your struggles. You and Cohen have touched the hearts of many. What a joy it has been to read your journey...thanks for sharing it with us. Hope y'all have a wonderful Easter. The announcement was beautiful.
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter. Cort is so cute dying the eggs, I love his little hands. Cohen is absolutely beautiful and perfect. I am praying for you to bring him home any day now, what a blessing for you to all be home under the same roof! Have a great day.
Happy Easter Cohen and all you others of the McGowan clan. It is truly wonderful to hear that Cohen is home bound pretty much any time now. We'll be thinking about you all and thanks for the new pix. That car seat swallows the little guy up! At least you won't have to worry about him being securely fastened during that ride home. Jarvis'
Welcome to our blog, take a look around. What you see is just a typical family trying our best to enjoy all the blessings God has given us in the midst of everyday life! Two of our favorite little blessings will fill most of the posts of this blog, our 4 year old first born, Cort, and our almost 2 year old, 2nd born, Cohen. Cohen was diagnosed with a fatal form of dwarfism at our 20 week ultrasound and we were told he had no chance of living more than a few minutes to hours at birth. He is a true miracle, a daily reminder of God's power and glory. Pull up a chair, enjoy the ride...we are!!
