You can click on it to read about their story. But I wanted to tell you a little myself too. This family, The Mullikins, attend church with us. While my connection to them, is well, really just through connections, I have really felt drawn to EJ and her story. They have been members of our church for long time. And some of our best friends, The Burn's, are friends with them and Ryan works for EJ's dad. More recently, EJ's mother and I have kept up with each other through our blogs as well. I have always had a special place in my heart for children and families who struggle with disorders or disabilities. If it's possible, I have even a stronger heart for it now that we have Cohen.
EJ is diagnosed with Sensory Integration Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The way this most manifests with EJ, is through eating, or rather lack of eating. Throughout , the Mullikins have loved and cared for their daughter through all of this. They have sought God for direction, wisdom, and peace as they try to help their daughter be willing to eat. They have sought out all sorts of medical help for EJ over the years and have finally come to the place where their best and only option is for an inpatient stay at the Remuda Ranch, a place designed to specifically help and treat eating disorders. This place will hopefully be exactly what EJ needs. However, it is incredibly expensive and they need help.
I have never done this. We have never asked for anything more than prayers for us or for anyone else on our blog, unless it was a charity organization. But I feel compelled to put it out there. First and for most, I'd askif you'd be willing to pray for this family. If you feel so led, visit their site and see how else you can help, and possibly consider donating. They are also doing this really neat golf fundraiser. Ryan Burns is participating, if you are looking for someone to sponsor.

A sorority sister of mine spent 5 months at Remuda Ranch this past year for treatment. A wonderful place...I'll keep EJ in my thoughts and prayers!
I would love to talk with EJ's mom since she and Kaleb have a lot in common with their lack of eating. Please give her my email address! Keeping them in our prayers for sure:)
