15 month well check

Cort's 15 month well check went well. She was pleased with his development - especially his vocabulary. It seems we have a chatterbox on our hands.
His stats were as follows:

18.5 lbs(3%)
31 inches(50%)
18.5 in - head circumference ( not sure on this percentile)

We were really pleased with his height as it brought him back to his curve. He has always been in the 50% and had dropped off considerably at his one year appt. His weight also brought him back to his 3% curve which seems to be where his little body is happiest. It had also fallen off at his one year. We would still like to get him on the charts but we'll take progress and consistency.
We are going to run a few blood tests since they were taking blood anyway. She'll run an electrolyte panel and a celiac test. We expect the tests to be negative and which point we will just stop worrying about his weight and embrace his tininess. I get to cuddle him longer this way anyway!!!
The drawing of the blood was terrible!!!!! They took it from the inside of his elbow complete with the tight tourniquet and everything. He was such a trooper as they searched for a vein that was even close to big enough. It seems his veins are as tiny as the rest of him!!! It took 3 of us to hold him down and still he managed to move enough to blow a vein 4 Times. Yes - they had to do it 4 times. It was terrible. The nurse said he had crazy super human strength and the lab technician said his veins were hardly bigger than the needle so it took very little movement to cause a problem. I felt horrible for the lab technician as you could tell he felt really bad about it....but it was for Cort's on good. I'm just glad we could do it at the doctor's office since they have an in house lab and didn't have to go to the hospital for blood work. His little arms are all bruised up but already look better today. Cort acutally recovered pretty quickly and I think he was the most worked up about being pinned down.
