Cort and Chandler loved finding Easter eggs. Chandler took to it right away. She ran around the yard yelling, "Mommy, do you see more?" Her basket was overflowing and she would drop eggs as she ran across the yard. Cort would point to the eggs but wouldn't really pick them up. He would drop them in his basket when I handed them to him and then he was content with his three eggs and would take them in and out of the basket and walk around the yard holding his basket or eggs. We did it again on another day and Chandler still loved it. This time Cort would even look for the eggs a little and he gladly picked them up and put them in his basket. We asked Chandler to go hide the eggs for us, which she proudly did - hiding about 15 eggs under one bush. Too cute. Cort also tried to go hide his eggs back in the ivy he had found some in. Too cute too!!! The 2nd time we did we hid stickers and some teddy grahams in a few of the eggs. They both caught on quickly and got excited about the eggs that made noise when you shook them. From then on, every egg had to be opened to be sure there wasn't a treat inside!!!
Chandler is absolutely adorable and HOW FUN that you and your sister get to "share" the same child raising stages together!!!! I love the pictures of Cort hunting the eggs and of him sitting in Chandlers lap- that is GREAT!!! hope to see you this week at the zoo in greenville!!!
Welcome to our blog, take a look around. What you see is just a typical family trying our best to enjoy all the blessings God has given us in the midst of everyday life! Two of our favorite little blessings will fill most of the posts of this blog, our 4 year old first born, Cort, and our almost 2 year old, 2nd born, Cohen. Cohen was diagnosed with a fatal form of dwarfism at our 20 week ultrasound and we were told he had no chance of living more than a few minutes to hours at birth. He is a true miracle, a daily reminder of God's power and glory. Pull up a chair, enjoy the ride...we are!!
