Good News and Bad News

The good news is that all of Cort's blood work came back looking great. So no celiac and no metabolic disorders. To top that off, while we were at the doctor this week my doctor told me that not only did all of his levels look really, really good but that the ( insert big word here) :) levels that show nutrition were really high. Meaning that he had better nutrition then they would even hope for. This means he is absorbing the nutrition he needs from his small diet even though he doesn't gain weight well. She was really impressed with how it was. So no absorption problems either. I guess it also means I feed him decently well. One point for mom. :)

The bad news is that we were at the doctor this week. Cort has been really sick. He started a fever on Sunday and now is throwing up. His fever has gone as high as 104.2 and has barely broken for days. He has a clean bill of health as far as infections go so some sort of horrible virus. He feels terrible and has just been laying around on me all day today. Last night he asked to go to bed at 5:00pm and slept until 7:30 this morning. He is now on his 3rd nap of the day and it's only 1:20pm. He has had a very little to eat or drink today so i hope he doesn't get dehydrated. I'm so disappointed that he has a stomach virus because I really don't won't him to lose weight. I mean, I'm glad I know that he is fine with his low weight(due to the blood work) but still 18.5 lbs at 15 months!!!! Not really wanting him to lose more weight. I was so excited about getting out of the 17's. Looks like the 17's missed us!!!!! Hello, old friend.
