Greats

I have always felt blessed to grow up my whole childhood with all four of my grandparents. I feel even more blessed that both Cort and Cohen not only have both sets of their grandparents but they also have 3 sets of great grandparents. A few weeks ago we were able to spend time with their two sets of grandparents on my side of the family.

It warms my heart to watch both of my boys with my Me-Me, Dat-Dat, Paw-paw, and Me-Maw. I love how Cort and Cohen both seem to know them even though we don't get to see them often and I absolutely love the pure joy you can see on my grandparents face as they watch and hold them. I have so many fond memories with all of my grandparents from when i was a child and i cherish the fact that I now have fond memories of my grandparent with my own children.

Spending time with the Greats:

Me-Me and Dat-Dat( my Dad's parents)

Me- Maw and Paw-Paw ( my mom's parents)

Please pray for my Paw-paw. He has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread into his bone and bone marrow. There is not a lot they can do for him at this point. They have given him a prognosis of a few weeks to months. Please pray that his pain level would be minimal and that his energy level would be high. He is an active man who loves to "do." Please pray that whatever his time here is that it would be full of the things he loves. My Me-Maw and Paw - Paw have pretty much lived at the beach for as long as I can remember. They love it there. Please pray that they would be able to continue to stay there instead of having to come to their house close to my parents or to live with my parents- it is his desire to stay at the beach. That is where their community is. Please pray for my mom as she balances taking care of him and trying to allow him what is making him happiest. Pray for her spirits, rest, and a peace as she deals with all of this. Praise God that all of my grandparents have met and held my children.

Emily and Chris,

It breaks my heart to say good bye to loved ones...even though I know I will see them again soon! I am so glad you have had your grandparents as that is unusual for lots of folks...Not sure who misses my parents the most...me or Gabriel and Rachel...Grandparents are wonderful grand-partners in the raising and nurturing of our children and are truly priceless!

Love to all!
