Doing Well

Sorry that you guys had to wait so long until this afternoon to get an update on us. We don't have it together enough to post and sort of fell short getting someone to post an update.
Cohen remained off of his oxygen all day. Chris and I were even able to give him a bath and get him dressed. We are just in awe at each moment and each little thing we get to experience with him. Praising God!!!
Please continue to pray for Cohen and his health. The doctors aren't really telling us much more at this point. We don't know how long he will be in the NICU. They have drawn blood and will test for thanatophoric dysplasia to rule it out but we don't know when we will get those results. Pray that his lungs continue to be strong enough to support his growing body.
Going to get some rest. We'll try to be better about keeping you up to date.

I am in awe of this little one! How awesome is the God we serve! I do not know you guys personally but I have been praying for little Cohen through a friend of a sister that knows you. I too had a child in the NICU at Greenville for 6 1/2 weeks with a rare heart condition. We were finally flown to Charleston because they did not know what else to do.

They are so wonderful in Greenville. The nurses became our second family. I encourage you to have a meeting with all his NICU doctors and get the "low down." Those doctors are so busy and there is so many that sometimes they need a liitle push to get things going.Just a little advice! I wish I had had someone that had gone through the same thing to tell me what to expect! Brooks actually had a primary nurse, Linda, that encouraged me and told me what to ask!

I will continue to pray for your little COHEN and your other son, as he too is probably confused now...as my 5 year old was. May you feel Gods grace fall over you during this time. How exciting to have a story that will touch so many!

(By the way, Brooks is 20 months old now and is doing great! He had transposition of the great arteries. Charleston went in and pretty much rearranged his heart. He is doing great and has never been on meds! He is a miracle just like Cohen because we were told that his condition was rare and very hard to fix. What did they know!!!!)

He is an absolutely adorable little baby. I am really excited at how well things have gone for you all the last few days, and I will pray for you.

But I was forced to comment because his cuteness overwhelmed me.
