Happy 1-Week Birthday!
Today is Cohen's 1-week birthday!!! Cort colored him a birthday picture and we gave him a picture frame with our picture in it. He has already checked it out. As far as health goes, he stayed on the room air supply for about an hour and then the nose tube came out and his stats didn't drop, so we left it off. The nurses have also tried letting him sleep on his stomach on a special pillow that lets his shoulders and hips drop down, which give his lungs more space to work somehow. It did seem to help, but he was upset when he woke up and couldn't see anyone! Her are some pictures for the day.

I have a feeling that this little 1 week old has impacted more lives than most people have in 20 years. I can't wait to start sharing stories with you guys! I stumbled upon your blog a couple days ago. Just wanted you to both know that I have been praying for your family, and specifically Cohen. I have two little girls and had lost a little baby boy at 19 weeks pregnant last November. I understand the humble feeling from the outpouring of support, but also how wonderful and AMAZING God is through trials. You are a beautiful family, and your son is beautiful also. Prayers are with you.

Still praying for you guys! What a miracle and he is beautiful. As I am nearing the end of my pregnancy I am feeling nervous... Maybe I will pass you in the halls of the GHS if he comes as early as Andrea! I had to leave Andrea at the NICU, and believe me, I cried several nights- not because I was sad, I just felt so detatched and that I wasn't good enough to be able to take care of her on my own. Weird feeling, I know you both are hanging in there. It's ok to cry, God gives you more strength than you ever thought possible in these situations. Amazing, huh?

Emily and Chris- Thanks soo much for keeping us updated via the blog about sweet baby Cohen- I LOVE all the pics. GOD is SOOO Good!! We are cont to pray for ya'll and that Cohen will increase his weight, stay off the oxygen and enjoy those bottles to the fullest!! I hope you guys get some restful sleep and lots of snuggle time with Cohen while Cort is enjoying time with the grandparents! We love you guys
