Well, Cohen just graduated from the standard NICU to the special care room within the NICU. He is breathing well, still with a little air, but it seems to be getting better all the time. Please keep praying about that. This room he is in is a bit tighter. He shares it with 5 other babies, and 2 nurses. It's good because a nurse is always nearby, but it is a bit of an "open" floor plan that makes it more difficult to connect and spend time in privacy and quiet. Hopefully he keeps eating well so that he can graduate from this room on to the family unit, where we get to test the waters of caring for him on our own. I must say that while we are wanting him to stay as long as needed, we are getting a little antsy to take him home and be a family together in one place. It sounds like even if he makes all the predetermined eating goals, we may be here until next weekend, and if he has any setbacks, it'll be longer...hopefully our interpretation is off a little. Please keep praying.

The Jarvis'..again!
This is so good that Cohen is moving up one step at a time and eating so good, getting better all the time. I will be praying you graduate to the family unit and then to home. If it is a little bit longer, this gives him time to get strong for the big move home. I know you want him home really bad, and I believe with all my heart this will happen. Wait on the Lord.

Way to move up Cohen, keep it up!
We are praying
Yay! Continuing to pray for his life and for more answers in regards to his diagnosis.
Found you all by way of... heck, I can't remember exactly, maybe Confessions of a CF Husband (?)
Anyway, I pray, and I am a sister from Lynchburg VA. I just finished catching up on your whole blog. It's just so wonderful, and Cohen- what an adorable bundle.
God has blessed you with this trial. I am praying for you to have his peace, strength and wisdom and that he will give you the desires of your heart.
I have 4 kids, from 27-9. I was widowed when the youngest were 3 and 5. My suffering has strengthened my faith, and Jesus has never let me down, not once.
He is enough.
God's peace-
Karen

Hi Chris and Emily! Stephanie phoned yesterday to give us an update on Cohen and we praise God for where He has brought you. When she told us of the situation in December you all immediately went on our prayer list. I teach a class of ladies who are prayer warriors and I requested prayer for you all. I can't wait to go in just a little while with continued prayer requests and the praise report. I also have a friend who is a nurse practioner there in the neo natal unit, Treasure Carswell. I gave her the info on Cohen and she said she would check on him when she returns to work on Monday. She's a great nurse and maybe will be another fan of Cohen's. It is hard for me to recognize any problems with Cohen as I viewed his precious pictures. He just looks like a beautiful new born baby. Please know that we love you and will continue to lift you in our prayers that God's will be done in your family's lives. May John 4:11 be of some comfort during this time. God Bless and create a blessed day as each one comes. WE love you!
Still praying...
Cohen is beautiful!
