Starting the weekend off well

Cohen had a great day yesterday and continues to have a great day today. Thank you for all of your prayers -keep it going.
He took 3 out of 4 of his bottles well yesterday and has taken both of his today so far.
He remained on only room air all day yesterday and didn't even need oxygen when he ate. He is on a very low flow. Yea!!!
The only minor issue yesterday is that he didn't pass his hearing screening. We aren't too concerned about it yet - they will recheck it before we go home and if he fails it again we will go to an audiologist. We and the tester feel like he is definitely hearing - he responds to us and to other noise. The screening only checks at one specific decibel level and she said he might still have fluid in his ears. Pray that he will pass his next screening and if not that his hearing loss is minimal.
We had super nice nurses yesterday. Our night nurse even made him the sweetest little scrapbook page and hung it above his bed.
I know we haven't posted pics in a while so hopefully this will satisfy:

I am so glad to hear Cohen is moving right along and will be praying for the hearing test. He is just beautiful and looking so healthy inspite of any complications he may have. Praying continually for his healing and for you to bring him home with you. His pictures are so precious. Praying for Cort too that he has happiness and normalcy during this time. And of course, for your hearts to be full of peace and hope.

Love, Laurie in Ca.

Good day my newly adopted family! It is SO great to hear when our little guy has such a great day and thank you so much for the new pics. Is it just me or does everyone else out there have little Cohen as their computer background?!?! I love to just think about him...he always brings a smile to my heart. By the way Chris...have you heard the song "He's my son" by Mark Schultz. His Radio has been playing it and I just had to ask. Google it if you'd like...it makes me think of you everytime I hear it. You all take care.

I love Cohen pics. He's so adorable. I love how he's 'helping' himself get the bottle. I'm still praying a bunch for him.

Hey Emily and Chris,
I have obsesively been following little Cohen's journey! My prayers have been dominated with your family!!! How lucky for us all to witness this miracle! I am sure you have had many an offer of help, and I too am offering. My nursing services (and many hugs) are at your disposal for either of your precious boys. I'll keep on praying, keep the good news coming!!
Much love and prayers,
Bette Arness
