Gaining Weight

This is Cohen's 2nd full day without his feeding tube. He didn't gain weight yesterday but he gained a little over an ounce today!!! He is taking his bottles pretty well. He does seem to have to breathe a little fast during some of his feeds and he also seems to be a bit fussy and uncomfortable during a good many of his feeds over the past couple of days. It has been a bit reminiscent of Cort's reflux symptoms. Please pray that Cohen will not have reflux problems.
Cort is feeling all better now so we were able to bring him up to the NICU yesterday to see Cohen. He was excited to see him and handled it well. He seems to know that Cohen belongs to us though he did point to the other babies in the special care room and say, " Mommy, Daddy baby too." When Chris took him out to meet Grandmommy and told him they were going home and Mommy and Daddy would be home soon, Cort said, "Baby Cohen home too." So sweet.
Chris and Cort had a good time playing with the eye sticker to a set of Cort's lego's. He's such a silly boy. It's been hard to be away from him so much. Can't wait to have us all home together.

PS To Avery - I hope three pictures of Cort will hold you and that the eyes aren't too scary!!! We'll have to do a play date soon.

So glad to hear that Cohen is gaining weight and praying for no reflux too.
I am hoping it won't be much longer until you can take your family home and enjoy home life together again. Don't you just love stickers and the entertainment they bring? Dad is a good sport!! Praying for continued blessings for your family and Cohens health.

It was such a sweet gift to see the four of you together! We're hoping it becomes a common photo on this blog very soon!
As we look ahead to tomorrow, March 21, it is with much celebration instead of the anticipation of your delivery, like we were originally praying about!
2 weeks old-praise! We are still praying God will hold you in the unknown of now and we celebrate all He has done so far!
Happy Easter!

Yay, Cohen on the weight gain! And Chris...I'll refrain from posting your silly "eye portraits" around GE...or will I?!?!
You guys take care!
Looking forward to you all coming home. God Bless.
