Cohen had his doctors appt. today. He weighed 6lbs 6 oz!!!! That means he gained 7oz. since Monday! Go Cohen!! Everything else looked great. We go back again next Friday. All of his other appointments are rolling in - he starts OT next Tuesday and we're still waiting for PT. I am a little nervous about balancing all of this with Cort. I am hoping to eventually get Cohen's therapies scheduled in a way that impact Cort and his schedule as little as possible. I know we will settle into a new normal and all will be fine but I also know it might take us a little time. God is big enough - don't we know that well? :)
He is still fussing during a good many of his feedings - we are going to give it a little more time and see if his body just needs a little more maturing. I am going to take main milk products out of my diet to see if it helps with his gassiness and diaper rash. Pray that either whatever is making him uncomfortable goes away or that we can figure out what to do to help. We don't want to jump to conclusions just because Cort had bad reflux.
Cort has been doing so well with Cohen. He really seems to enjoy having him around for the most part and really hasn't shown a lot of jealousy. Now, I am not sure how that will all change once the grandparents are gone. We'll find out next week!!!
In the meantime, Cort is enjoying all of the grandparent attention and the Grandparents are enjoying having 2 grandsons around!!!
Chris and I are tired but doing well( every three hours at night is no fun). I love being at home with both of my boys. This morning I said something to Chris as he was packing some stuff up for Goodwill about keeping something because "the kids could play with it." Kids. We have 2. Kids. Plural!! So fun that I got to say that this morning!! Praise God.

Cohen is just the sweetest thing and Cort looks like such a wonderful big brother :) Here's hoping AND praying things continue to go well with both boys!!!
That picture at the top is the first time where I have realized how much he looks like Cort. These are adorable. Thanks so much for letting us share in your excitement.
Every time I look at pictures of Cohen, my heart just warms up and I can't help but think, "I think I'm in love with him!!" He is so amazing. And um, don't tell, but I'm pretty sure you have the two cutest BOYS in the world. Boys. Plural.
Isn't God good? :)
What awesome pictures...your boys are simply perfect! As I mentioned to Chris earlier this week at lunch, we are here whenever you need or want anything. Jenn has a "Mommy group" that meets over at the park on your side of town occasionally so if Cort just wants to come play sometime just let her know. Chelly is 3 and Jaina is 1.5 so he'd fit right in. We'll be in touch with our contact info. You guys (all 4 of you!) take care.

Did Cort steal his brother's paci? Too funny...
Awesome pictures. Thank you for sharing them. Glad both your boys are doing well.
He is adorable, love those eyes.
I know all about juggling wih the therapy thing, and having other kids. You can do it, it is easier than it sounds when you go through it all in your head, and we are so greatful for the therapy it has really helped Alex.
Your kids are so beautiful!!
Praying from Ohio!
Your boys are just beautiful and what a blessing to be home with both of them. Cohen is doing fantastic in gaining weight and I am praying for his tummy to adjust to feedings. All of the pictures are so good. I am happy for you.

Pics of the BOYS are great. I absolutely love the first one of Cohen-so sweet. Haley continues to ask to "pray for Cohen's chest," which we do daily...now we will add tummy to the list. That is something we know all too well around this house!
Your comments about having 2 kids at home brought stinging tears to my eyes and just reminded me again today how great our GOD is to allow the blessing of children and the miracle of Cohen in ALL of our lives.
Love you all. Hope to see you soon. Let Cort come over to play sometime!
My goodness...what an adorable set of boys you have there!

I got your link to your blog from Annie's. Our second son, Carpenter, has down syndrome(T-21), and I know that all of the therapy appointments in the beginning can be a little overwhleming, but keep with it and stay on top of it! Get OT, PT, as long as you can, you will be surprised at how much it all helps. I would even get him on the list for Speech, they can do alot of oral motor stuff at his young age that I would have never guessed. In the Upstate of SC, there are long wait lists at times. So research and put your name on all. And if a therapist doesn't click with your family, don't be afraid to seek out a new one. I know it can be a balancing act(I have 4 little ones) with therapy, your life, your husbands, and your kids and future children. I know this sounds crazy, but all of these appointments will seem like normal. My oldest daughter, Marley, thought all babies stayed in the hospital and all had therapists! You have a beautiful family and I know that you will manage everything beautifully! To God be the glory!
Sorry, I didn't mean to write a tell all, take the information, if you need it. It just sometimes helps to have someone who can relate a little.
Oh my goodness, your boys are so darn cute. Don't you just want to eat them up :) Glad Cohen is doing so well and Cort is so good with him. I pray that everything continues to go well. 6lbs 6oz! Go Cohen!!!
God is GREAT! your babies are just beautiful handsome lil guys...
